With over 20 years of teaching experience, Martin has students of all ages and levels. He teaches weekly at the Kelowna Community Music School and the Kamloops Symphony Music School. Using a variety of methods and books, especially in the beginning (RCM, Suzuki, Sassmanhaus, Scaley Monsters, etc.), Martin has prepared his students for RCM exams, festivals, auditions, recitals, and community performances. Fostering a safe space to create and be curious - finding ease and joy in the process - these are the values at the heart of Martin’s teaching. Martin also coaches advanced chamber music groups, and runs a community cello ensemble in Kamloops.
